For an easy and delicious breakfast (or lunch) give this Coffee, Cacao, Banana, Date and Peanut Butter Smoothie a try!

This smoothie is modeled after a drink I had in Tucson, Arizona at a cafe a block from my apartment called the Funky Money. An ode to the magic that happens when you combine banana and peanut butter, the smoothie also included espresso and chocolate syrup.
This is my healthified version! PB and banana work great together, but you can use any nut butter you have on hand. Cold brew coffee serves as the base to give you some energy and mocha-flavor action. Dates add natural sweetness (plus fiber and loads of minerals and nutrients). Raw cacao powder provides the chocolate flavor in lieu of chocolate syrup, not to mention a slew of feel-good minerals and antioxidants. Cheers to an energetic and satisfying morning! ☕
